Because of this – we are bound to have a class that suits your personality and offers the kind of workout or experience you and your body are craving.

1)     You don’t like to waste time and your friends often call you impatient

Are you someone who is constantly on-the-go, can’t sit still for too long and fills your calendar to the brim with meetings, dates, and excursions? Were you initially turned off by the idea of yoga because the thought of moving slowly is torture to you? Well – don’t be turned off too quickly! Vinyasa yoga is probably the best fit for you!

Often referred to as “flow” yoga, Vinyasa involves moving continuously from one pose to the next, in a faster-paced environment. This is probably the best style of Prahran Yoga to choose if you are looking to tone muscle or for cardiovascular benefits, as it offers a full-body workout that builds heat and focus, through rapid and continuous movement.

2)     You bounce off the walls with energy

So, you’re the one who can jump out of bed 7 am on a Monday morning and are still ready to run a marathon by Friday. Props to you, the rest of us are envious. Sounds like you’ve got a lot of energy to burn, so Hot Yoga or Vinyasa Yoga, are probably the best yoga Prahran classes for you. Both will help you burn a lot of energy, whilst helping calm down your nervous system and balancing out your energy levels (sometimes it’s nice to be tired for bed).

3) Your favourite time of the day is bed time

Are you someone who sometimes enjoys being asleep more than being awake? Do mornings feel like death to you? Do you avoid any activities that require you to get out of bed earlier than you have to? Is napping your favourite time of the day? If you said yes to any of these, then Yoga Nidra is the class for you!

Also known as yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra is a meditation and relaxation practice that is perfect for students of all levels, who are looking to explore a more restorative and restful practice that will leave them feeling completely blissed out afterward. The entire class is generally practiced lying down; allowing students to move into the state of conscious deep sleep and access greater body, breath, and emotional awareness.

4)     You’re a perfectionist

Do you consider yourself a bit of a perfectionist? Always like to do things right and understand every single detail? Well, we have found the perfect yoga Prahran class for you – Hatha Yoga. A great yoga class for those that want to perfect each pose, Hatha Yoga is a more slow-paced, gentle style of yoga that involves holding poses for a longer period of time. Due to the longer holds, there is a lot more emphasis on detail, precision, and alignment, allowing students the time and space to perfect each posture before moving on to the next.

5)     You love to get sweaty and you’re a sucker for tropical climates

Are you addicted to that au natural buzz that comes from being a hot sweaty mess? Do you thrive in tropical climates, refusing to sleep with the air conditioner on? Chances are you’ll love Hot Yoga then!

Hot yoga is exactly as it sounds. It’s Power Yoga in a hot room. Practicing yoga in a heated room elevates the heart rate, which, in turn, makes the body work harder. The increased external temperature also causes the body to sweat, which is believed to help “detoxification” by flushing toxins from the skin. The heat also helps the body relax and stretch into postures more deeply and safely, easing the flexibility aspects of yoga.

6)     You’re a gentle soul who loves to move slow and relax

Are you considered the ‘chill’ friend in your group? Always moving slowly, sitting back and relaxing? If so, you’re probably going to love a yoga Prahran class to suit. We recommend Yin Yoga, as it offers a more meditative, intimate approach that involves holding various poses for a long, extended period of time.

The entire class almost feels like one deep and relaxing stretch. Yin yoga is great for going inward, lowering stress levels, increasing mobility in the body (especially in the joints and hips), and providing you with greater flexibility in your joints and connective tissue.

7)     You love a challenge

Do you love pushing your body to its absolute limits? Have you felt resistant to giving yoga a go purely because you didn’t think it would challenge you and your body enough? Boy – we can prove you wrong!

Ashtanga yoga or Vinyasa (Level Two) yoga are both higher intensity yoga which involves a lot of physical movement and flow.

Ashtanga typically follows a three series sequence. The primary series focuses on forward-bends, the secondary series focuses on backbends and the advanced series emphasizes arm-support and arm-balancing postures. As the class progresses, the postures in the series become more complex and are quite physically demanding on the body.

Vinyasa Yoga, on the other hand, follows a more freestyle style of sequencing and often features a peak pose which is the most challenging.

Both classes are guaranteed to put your physical limits to the test and give you the challenge you and your body are craving!
